Since 2003, the Summertown Stars Annual 5v5 Tournament has grown into one of the biggest and most exciting grassroots football events in the country. Hosted by North Oxford's largest community football club — with 850+ players across 64 teams — we bring together clubs from across the region for a festival of football at the beautiful Cutteslowe Park.
With 25 categories spanning U7 through to Adults and Veterans, plus dedicated boys' and girls' competitions at every age group, there's a place for everyone. Last year over 410 teams took part across 1,100+ matches — and we're aiming to make 2026 our best year yet.
Over 410 teams, 3,500 players, 23 pitches, one park — this is the Summertown Stars Tournament.

Running one of the country's biggest grassroots football events takes a village. We're looking for friendly, enthusiastic people to help make it happen — and even just a couple of hours makes a real difference.
Whether it's helping with registration, marshalling pitches, running the café, setting up in the morning, or packing down at the end of the day — there's a role for everyone. No experience needed, just a willingness to muck in and be part of something special.
It's also a brilliant way to meet other parents, get involved in the club, and see the tournament from behind the scenes. Many of our best volunteers started by giving up just one session.
Register your interest and we'll send you a sign-up sheet when it's ready, so you can pick the session and role that works for you.
